THE SUDDEN DEATH OF A CHILD

This one day workshop is aimed at professionals who are supporting anyone suffering through the death of a child. It builds on the two day Bereavement Awareness course and will enable participants to gain competences towards option NC1 of NVQ level 3 in Caring.

The course will draw attention to the particular issues around the sudden death of a child, the impact on family members and the wider community.

The course explores:

• Loss and grief
• Society's attitudes to the sudden death of a child
• Effects on the family and the community
• The need to care for ourselves
